Puzzletrunk is live!
Salutations!
Pantaloon here. We're a pedestal for bold and bizarre indie games, with a newsletter that focuses on discoverability, and thrusting weird and wayward games into the limelight
Our newsletter also features a monthly Puzzle, where subscribers can solve a challenge of sorts to guarantee themselves a game key in one of our monthly giveaways. When we started these Puzzles, it was just a bit of fun. Clues hidden in emails. Passwords to webpages. That sort of thing. We had no idea that they would be as popular as they are today, and become a cornerstone of the Pantaloon offering. But the constraints of the web/password format were becoming limiting, which was a problem we set out to solve.
And so we've been and gone and made Puzzletrunk; the first original Pantaloon game!
Puzzletrunk is your new monthly Puzzle-launcher. In this format we can design bolder, better puzzles, track statistics, and build a library of brain-melters in a way that we simply couldn't before.
Puzzletrunk will be updated each month with a new puzzle and new reward, as well as other new features and improvements that will evolve over time. This is very much just the beginning.
There is a free web version available here on the Itch.io page (for those of you we know like to play in browser at work (!)), but we're also offering a dedicated standalone version, which features one-time log in, progression saving and - in time - will be updated to include the Puzzle Archive (collating all previous puzzles). Anybody that signs up to Pantaloon over the course of September will get a key for the full version of Puzzletrunk.
Thanks, and stay weird x
pantaloon.
